Christmas for the Neighborhood

As this unforgettable year comes to a close, I was delighted to spend the holiday season with my friends at The Church at Rancho Bernardo producing, shooting & editing their online Christmas programs.

Christmas comes early at The Church at RB! Following the weeks after Thanksgiving, we released new episodes of our Impact Offering series. This annual 5 week campaign celebrates all the ways we have served the community in the past year. This year was even more special as we highlighted the Church’s work over the last decade. From building a well in Ghana to founding a nonprofit to fight hunger, each episode explored a direct way we loved people in real, practical ways.

Here’s one of them for you to watch:

Update January 10, 2021: I am full of joy & emotion to share that through the 2020 Impact Offering, we raised $460,000 - the most ever & during a pandemic! I’m so excited to watch lives being changed in 2021.

Our Impact Offering episodes aired throughout the month of December, leading up to our flagship program: Christmas Eve Online. To create this beautiful one-hour program, we employed a wide range of shooting styles and techniques. Recording on various sets & creating unique lighting cues are just a couple ways we fostered powerful moments. I think it paid off! Check out the photos below to see for yourself!

From late-night editing sessions to filming our house band Garden MSC on the roof, it was a magical time! I feel so fortunate to serve alongside these folks and share this joyous time with our neighbors.

Do yourself a favor and take an hour to watch the full program. I promise you’ll be happy you did! Merry Christmas 🎄
