Cocktails for a Cause

It was an absolute privilege to spend these last few weeks with my friends at Alabaster Jar Project.

During last night’s [virtual] gala, we raised $40,000 to empower survivors of human trafficking.

Unfortunately, human trafficking is a real problem in San Diego. Alabaster Jar works tirelessly to bring restoration & hope to the lives of survivors. It’s a non-profit very close to my heart and I have loved working with them throughout the past 6 years.

During yesterday’s broadcast, we celebrated AJP’s amazing work, shared stories of courageous women & enjoyed two beautiful performances by artist/songwriter Jackie Foster.

The night was hosted by Emmy award-winning anchor/reporter Monica Dean. Monica anchors NBC 7 San Diego’s weekday newscasts. She is also one of the producers of “STOLEN,” a documentary series investigating sex trafficking. It’s available online at nbc7.com/STOLEN.

Viewers at home participated in real-time through an online auction. Additionally, those who purchased a special ticket package were sent a bottle of champagne & a Cutwater cocktail to enjoy during the event.

The funds we raised will allow for permanent and lasting change in women’s lives. Although our virtual gala is over, you still have the opportunity to help! To echo the words of Monica Dean, real change occurs when we use our unique skills & resources. Click the link below to donate & learn more!
